PSA: BAYMAX LAMP SCAM!!!

This blog post is a really important one regarding the Baymax Lamp I included on this post!

I highly recommend you DO NOT buy from this seller!! I ordered this lamp the night I made the post, even after checking the feedback which seemed positive!

I "received" the item today and this is what I got:

As soon as I realized that THIS was my "Baymax Lamp", I immediately went to eBay and contacted my seller, with the photo!

Do NOT message the seller, go into your purchase history, look for the item you bought (if you were unlucky enough to buy one too), and under "more actions" hit contact seller!

Afterwards, it'll take you to a page where you can fill in the bubble with your issue! I chose "It didn't match the listing" but I'm sure "I received an item that wasn't described" would work just as well! I immeadiately looked for the "request a refund" button and uploaded the photo I took above (thought the heart wasn't present), I made sure to make my name, address, and tracking number very clear!!!

I wrote that I was scammed, that this wasn't the item I purchased, and that I wanted my money back.

If the seller doesn't reply within 5 days then Paypal will step in and help me get my money back.

After I get my refund, I will be leaving negative feedback so that others won't be scammed the way I just was.

I'm sorry to everyone who bought a Baymax lamp and hopefully this helps you out to get your money back!!

I hardly ever have problems shopping online, because I'm so adamant about making sure I check feedback and whatnot, but this got away from me.

UPDATE 5/19/2015:
I got my refund! The seller will not respond to your case at all apparently, so be sure to pay attention to the date Paypal/eBay tells you to ask them to step in! They give the seller 5 days and on the 6th day if they don't respond or give you a refund, you go back to the return page and ask eBay/Paypal to step in, give your side of the story, and they give you your refund within 48 hours.

In this case I got my refund about 20 minutes later!

  6. Actually, I don't think you were scammed, I think the seller just sent you the wrong product by mistake, which happens a loooot with big ebey sellers, especially if they are located in asia. So I wouldn't call this a scam just from receiving the wrong item. What was very unpleasant though, is the lack of contact. But again, that's nothing unusual for big asian ebay sellers. That's one of the reasons I never buy from shops like that, eventhough they are cheap. Because... they're cheap for a reason xD
Glad you got your money back. You could now stab someone with that tool you accidently got to get rid of your anger and disappointment. Just kidding, but yeah. Thank you for warning us about this seller. :)
