May Favorites ♡

It feels like May honestly zoomed by...I'm welcoming June with excited and open arms because it's the start of my vacation plans!~ I didn't really have many favorites for this month because I was so busy, but what I did have I enjoyed very much! Please continue reading c:
I know I don't post much about makeup (that will change and hopefully soon!!), but I've had troubles finding a foundation that: 1) matches my skintone and 2) doesn't dry my skin out! I found that this foundation, L'Oreal True Match, met those two criteria and I've been using it for weeks with much success! Some people who have used it say it's comparable to the MAC Foundation, but I can't really say if this is true or not since I've only ever used Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation (which made my skin dry and was a shade too dark for me!) I've worn this to work and I was complimented on how this foundation looked lovely on me and it really made me happy! I do wish that it didn't transfer so easily and the bottle doesn't come with a pump, which I find messy and annoying, but luckily I found a compatible pump on eBay!! I'll be using this foundation for a while!

I went to the library a few weeks ago and Tsukuru Tazaki and his Years of Pilgrimage was one of the books I checked out! It's my first Haruki Murakami novel and I'm quite enjoying it so far! Without giving away spoilers, it's about 20-year old Tsukuru Tazaki (though it goes back and forth between different points of his life) and about how he lost important things/people in his past and how/if he'll overcome it in his future! I know that my little summary doesn't make much sense, but it's all I can say without giving much away!
My next favorite of the month was my American Apparel knockoff denim backpack! I've been taking it with me when I go to work and I hold everything that I need in it! My water bottle, 3DS, book, wallet, keys, etc.! It holds so much and it's not bulky just like the brand name one! It's super durable and I'm glad to use it everyday

Finally, the last favorite of the month was Fire Emblem: Awakening for the Nintendo 3DS!! I got it about a week ago after pushing off playing it for like 2 years (better late than never haha!) and I've been playing it almost non-stop!! Many of my friends have played/are playing this game and were super key factors in me finally taking charge and purchasing it!  (Well, my friends and the demo that I've played about 6 times haha!) I bring either my 3DS or PS Vita with me no matter where I go, but since I've gotten this game I've only brought my 3DS around. I've been loving the characters (I LOVE SO MANY), the story (the plot is so wonderful), and the strategizing!! I already love RPG's but this game makes me appreciate strategy games so much more than I already do! I can't wait to finish this game and replay it all over again, this was a wonderful purchase for the month of May

Thank you so much for reading this post!! I can't wait for June and I hope it goes well for me as well as you!

  1. I think it's nice with some monthly favorites with other stuff than makeup as well! c:
    I'm still pushing off playing Fire Emblem, I'm so bad ; ;

  2. l'oreal true match is one of my favorite foundations from the drugstore! you don't need a lot, it lasts long, and there's so many shades to choose from. other fave drugstore foundations of mine are revlon's colorstay and maybelline fit me stick! if you want to try a higher end foundation that's awesome u can get a sample from sephora of urban decay's naked foundation it's amazingggg

  3. I have fire emblem but i've never gotten round to playing it.. my gaming backlog is huge right now!
    I understand the struggle of finding a perfect foundation, I would recommend Maybelline and Benefit foundations ^_^
